The Pencil Portraits of your children and pets are sketched from a photograph using graphite or coloured pencils on a choice of grey, white, light blue or gold paper

 

The portraits are typically drawn to fit an A3 frame (or a 'standard' 12 x 15 inch frame) with the premise that this includes a mount with an aperture opening of at least 7.5' x 10' inches.  However, if you already have a mount and frame in mind, please do include all the details & measurements on your COMMISSION FORM

 

At the moment, frames and mounts are not included unless requested.  However, I have a very good supplier and I will be more than happy to advise on this

 

Typically the portraits are of the head, neck and shoulders only. However, like the size and dimensions, I can tailor your portrait to fit in the torso of the sitter if you wish

In every case I will always confirm all details, style preferences & size requirements directly with you before work commences

P R I C E     L I S T

The price for the Rattle Coastal style is £100, Pet Contemporary Style is £200 and for all other Rattle styles it is £300 per portrait, irrespective of size.  This price includes packaging & postage within the UK.  Delivery outside of the UK plus any frames &/or mounts requested, will be at an additional cost

T H E    P R O C E S S

 

Complete an order form & send through your image(s)

Please complete an online COMMISSION FORM & attached your image(s) OR, if you prefer, you can download & complete a pdf version of the 'order form pdf' here

 

As I will be working solely from a photograph, the nature & quality of the image you decide to use as a reference really needs to be of a high quality.  Because of this, I have written up a checklist, which I hope you will find helpful as a guideline.  You can download this 'image requirements checklist' here

Place a Deposit

A non refundable 25% deposit (£25 for Coastal, £50 for Contemporary & £75 for all other styles) will need to be paid before any work can commence.  You will be sent a paypal invoice with payment details once we have confirmed the details on your order form & reviewed your images

Determine a completion date

I work on a first come first served basis, however the turnaround tends to be approximately 3 weeks (5 to 6 weeks for Christmas orders) I will confirm to you my schedule and the likely completion date at the time of you ordering.  Please note that the deadline for all Christmas orders will be mid November. At other times in the year, if you have a specific date in mind that you would like the work to be completed by, I will try my very best to work towards this deadline

Completion and delivery
On completion I will send you a high res image of the portrait via email or via text, at which point the remaining balance invoice (& delivery charges if outside of the UK and / or mounts, frames and delivery charges for these where applicable) is to be paid. Once payment has been settled, your portrait will be sent via 'signed for' royal mail or track-able courier
